Bixpy motor compatibility with Cajo

Yes — Bixpy's Power-Pole base motor mount bolts directly to the Cajo stern, and Bixpy's fin-drive socket motor fits inside our Fin Drive Adapter for an in-hull mount.

Yes — and there are actually two ways to run a Bixpy on a Cajo depending on how you want it mounted.

Option 1 — Stern mount (Power-Pole base)

Bixpy's Power-Pole base motor mount fits the Terra 116 perfectly, and the same goes for the rest of the Cajo lineup. Every Cajo stern (rigid or inflatable) has the Power-Pole Micro Anchor bolt pattern with three positions, so the Bixpy base bolts straight on. No drilling, no adapter.

This is the most common Bixpy setup on a Cajo — fast to install, fast to remove, and you can swap between the center mount and a flanking mount if you want to keep the rudder where it is.

Option 2 — In-hull mount (fin-drive socket)

Bixpy also makes a fin-drive socket motor mount that fits inside our Fin Drive Adapter. So if you already own (or plan to own) the Cajo Fin Drive Adapter for a Hobie MD 180 or similar kick-up drive, the Bixpy fin-drive motor pops into the same socket. That gives you an in-hull electric option without giving up the fin-drive setup.

Quick swap on the water: pull the fin drive out, drop the Bixpy in, you're motoring.

Which to pick

  • Going for speed and runtime, treat it like a small trolling motor → stern Power-Pole base.
  • Already running fins and want a quiet electric backup or stealth approach → fin-drive socket.

Both work. Both are owner-reported strong performers on Cajo hulls.
