Assembly walkthrough (3 steps)
Step 1 — Partially tighten the mounting posts
Partially tighten the mounting posts to the Quad Rail using the provided bolt (part B) and track nut (part A). Keep it loose enough to slide the brackets along the track to your ideal position.
Step 2 — Adjust position and slide
Adjust the mounting posts to your ideal position before tightening.
Step 3 — Mount to hull
Two installation cases — pick yours.
Case 1: Mounting to existing T-slot gear tracks Mount the support brackets to the T-slot gear track using the provided bolt (part B) and track nut (part A). After mounting the support brackets to the gear track, fully tighten the top of the support bracket to the Quad Rail.
Note: Some Cajo kayaks include brass inserts for Quad Rail mounting. If your kayak has these inserts, use only the mounting bolt (Part B) to fasten the bracket directly to the hull — no track nut required.
Case 2: Through-hull mounting
- After determining your mounting location, drill a hole through the hull using an M6 drill bit.
- Use the provided backing plate (part C) to reinforce your Quad Rail installation.
- Insert the bolt (part B) through the mounting bracket and the hull.
- Place the backing plate inside the hull and secure it with the mounting nut (part D).
- Use silicone sealant for waterproofing.
Picking the right length
- 12" — single-accessory mounts (rod holder, camera arm, fish finder)
- 26" — captain's bridge for cockpit-level instruments
- 32" — extended dashboard for multi-instrument or wider builds
- 44" (2-pack) — full-length parallel rails for maximum coverage
