Cajo video reviews in different conditions
Owner videos are starting to pop up — the Facebook Owner's Group at facebook.com/groups/caminojourneygroup is the best place for fresh reviews and rigged-setup photos. More official video content for the Outpost 100 and Terra 116 is on the way.
Owner videos are starting to pop up — the Facebook Owner's Group at facebook.com/groups/caminojourneygroup is the best place for fresh reviews and rigged-setup photos. We have more video content on the way for the smaller models (Outpost 100, Terra 116) in various conditions.
The Owner's Group is the best source
A few things make the Facebook Owner's Group the most useful resource right now:
- Real-world rigged setups. Owners post their actual fishing kayaks, fully rigged for the way they fish. You get a much better picture of what the boat looks like in your hands than any product photography.
- Conditions-specific footage. Anglers posting Cajos in PNW saltwater, Texas bays, Florida flats, Great Lakes wind chop, Alaska halibut runs — different conditions, different rigging choices.
- Honest assessment. Owners aren't paid spokespeople. They post what works and what they'd change.
It's a closed group but anyone can request to join.
Official video content roadmap
We're actively producing more video content. Priorities:
- Outpost 100 in light chop — bay-fishing scenarios, Chesapeake-style water
- Terra 116 standing platform — sight-fishing showcase, SUP-style hull in action
- Outpost 128 rigging walkthroughs — full tournament-grade setups with battery, motor, electronics pod
- Highlander AirTrek inflation-to-fishing — pack-to-paddle workflow
These are in production and rolling out as they're finished.
YouTube and elsewhere
A few YouTube creators have started posting Cajo reviews. We don't pay for sponsored content, so the videos out there are organic — anglers who bought the boat and decided to talk about it. Search "Cajo kayak review" or "Camino Journey kayak" on YouTube and you'll find the current crop.
What you won't find (yet)
We're a young brand. The kind of multi-year long-term review content that exists for legacy brands (Hobie, Old Town, Native) isn't here yet — those took 10+ years to accumulate. If you're someone who relies heavily on 5-year owner reviews before buying, this is honest context to weigh.
What we can offer instead:
- The Owner's Group for real-world current owners
- A demo at Electric Surf Sports in West Palm Beach if you can get there
- Direct conversation with our team — chat or email, we'll be straight with you about what the boats do well and where they're young
