Treklite seat base dimensions
The Treklite seat base is approximately 21" deep × 20" wide.
The Treklite seat base is approximately 21" deep × 20" wide.
Why this matters
A few situations where the seat-base footprint is the spec you need:
- Inflatable SUP install — you need at least 21" × 20" of clear deck space (plus a bit on either side for strap routing) to sit the Treklite down cleanly. Most fishing iSUPs have it; some narrower touring boards don't.
- Cajo Highlander floor positioning — the Treklite footprint fits the inflated floor of every Highlander AirTrek, but where you place it affects pedal-drive clearance and rod-handle reach. The 21" depth lets you slide the seat fore/aft for trim adjustment.
- Cajo rigid hull positioning — the Treklite isn't the standard seat on the Outpost / Terra (those run the Horizon Pro Seat), but if you're rigging a second seat for the Treklite on a rigid hull, the base needs 21" of clear deck length.
What the dimensions cover
- 21" deep = front edge of the seat cushion to back edge of the seat cushion (not including the backrest pivot, which adds a couple inches in the upright position)
- 20" wide = left edge to right edge across the seat cushion
The backrest is a separate measurement — when reclined fully back, the seat takes up more length; when upright, it's closer to vertical. The 21" × 20" number is the cushion footprint.
On comfort vs. footprint
The Treklite is intentionally a compact seat — designed to ride on inflatables, pack into kayak bags, and double as a beach seat or campsite chair. The Horizon Pro Seat and the Horizon Elevated Seat Perch are bigger, more structured seats designed for full-day fishing on a rigid hull.
If you're choosing between the Treklite and one of the Horizon seats, the dimensions story is part of it: Treklite is compact and portable, Horizon is bigger and more anchored to the kayak.
