Horizon Pro Seat: non-Cajo kayak fit
The Horizon Pro Seat is designed for Cajo rigid hulls. It also fits select Vibe models (Shearwater, Cubera confirmed). Other brands would take DIY work and aren't officially supported.
The Horizon Pro Seat is designed for Cajo rigid hulls (Outpost 100/128, Terra 116) and also fits select Vibe models including the Vibe Shearwater and Vibe Cubera.
It can technically be retrofitted to other brands with DIY work, but we don't officially support those installs.
Confirmed non-Cajo fits
- Vibe Shearwater — confirmed. Mounts on the existing seat tracks without modification.
- Vibe Cubera — confirmed. Same story.
If your kayak is built around the Vibe Hero 2.0 platform (released around 2019 and newer), there's a good chance the Horizon Pro will sit on it cleanly, since that platform shares a lot of geometry with the Vibe lineup that pairs with our seats.
What we mean by "DIY work" for everything else
The Horizon Pro Seat ships with mounting hardware sized for Cajo and Vibe gear-track spacing. On a different brand (Old Town, Hobie, Native, Wilderness, Pelican, Bonafide), you'd likely need to:
- Drill new gear-track holes at the right spacing for your hull
- Fabricate or buy a track adapter
- Adjust the recline geometry if your existing seat well sits at a different angle
Doable for someone with a drill and patience. Just not a guaranteed fit, not warranted on a non-Cajo install, and not something we can spec for you over chat.
The Elevated Perch is a separate question
If you're looking at the Horizon Elevated Seat Perch instead of the Pro Seat, that's a different fit profile — the Perch fits any Vibe with a Hero 2.0 seat (2019+), and it fits the AirTrek inflatables. See the Perch-specific articles for that.
