Horizon Elevated Seat Perch: Vibe Yellowfin Tandem fit

Most likely yes — the Horizon Perch fits any Vibe kayak with a Hero 2.0 seat (2019 and newer). If your Yellowfin Tandem has the Hero 2.0, the Perch fits.

Most likely yes — the Horizon Elevated Seat Perch fits any Vibe kayak with a Hero 2.0 seat (released around 2019 and newer). If your Yellowfin Tandem uses the Hero 2.0, the Perch will fit it.

How to tell what generation your Yellowfin has

The Hero 2.0 seat is Vibe's current-generation aluminum-frame, mesh-back seat. A few quick checks:

  • Frame style — Hero 2.0 has the squared-off aluminum frame, not the older rounded tubing
  • Track mounts — Hero 2.0 mounts to gear tracks on the kayak rather than dropping into a recessed well
  • Year of purchase — anything 2019 or newer is almost certainly Hero 2.0

If your Yellowfin Tandem predates 2019, there's a higher chance you're on an older Vibe seat platform that the Perch won't mate to cleanly.

Why the Hero 2.0 spec matters

The Perch is designed to drop onto the mounting interface that Vibe uses on the Hero 2.0 — same hardware spacing, same gear-track footprint. It's not adapting to the kayak hull directly; it's adapting to the seat platform.

That's why the same Perch works on:

  • Vibe Yellowfin Tandem (Hero 2.0)
  • Vibe Shearwater (Hero 2.0)
  • Cajo Outpost 100, Outpost 128, Terra 116
  • Cajo Highlander AirTrek inflatables

Different kayaks, same seat interface, same Perch.

Honest hedge

We say "most likely" rather than "definitely" because Vibe has refreshed the Yellowfin Tandem more than once and we haven't physically test-fit every model year. If you can send a photo of your current seat and the seat-rail spacing, we can confirm before you order.
