Josh Thomas spent a decade turning Vibe Kayaks into a go-to name for weekend warriors and first-time buyers. As the founder, CEO, and lead product mind behind the brand, he broke barriers and redefined what mid-range kayaks could be at an accessible price point. With more than 150,000 kayaks sold during his tenure, he helped launch a new generation of anglers and shaped the future of the sport.
In 2023, Josh stepped down and redirected his energy toward building something sharper. CAJO isn’t chasing market share or trying to please everyone. It’s purpose-built watercraft for anglers who know what they want and expect gear that works as hard as they do. Josh is still on the water, still designing every detail, and still obsessed with performance. CAJO is the result. A lean, focused brand dead serious about kayak fishing.

Every decision comes down to performance, durability, and trust. For starters, we use high-performance HDPE that delivers twice the toughness with less weight. Our Airtrek inflatables are built with welded seams for durability, safety, and peace of mind. Even our Quad Rails are built from a custom aluminum extrusion made specifically for our platform. It’s not about flash. It’s about building gear that holds up, holds tight, and holds everything we need. Every choice is deliberate. Every product is made to earn its place.
