Cajo Owner's Community: Facebook group, video library, support paths

The Cajo Owner's Community lives in the Camino Journey Kayak Facebook group — that's where rigging photos, fishing trips, and on-water conversations actually happen. The video library is on @caminojourney.co on YouTube and TikTok. For warranty + claims + missing parts, go through the claims form (the FB group isn't a support queue). For pre-purchase questions, hit chat on caminojourney.com.

Cajo's owner community isn't on a forum we built. It lives where anglers already hang out — Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram. This is the front door to all of it, plus a map of when to use which channel.

The Camino Journey Kayak Facebook Group

facebook.com/groups/caminojourneygroup

This is where the real Cajo owner conversations happen.

Who's in it

  • Cajo owners (across all models — Outpost, Terra, Highlander)
  • Cajo field staffers and pro team members
  • Josh Thomas (founder) — occasionally drops in for rigging questions or big-picture launches
  • Pre-purchase shoppers asking "should I get the Outpost 128 or Terra 116" — yes, those questions are welcome

What gets posted there

  • Rigging photos — the single best place to see how other owners actually set up their boats
  • Trip reports and catch photos
  • "Which fin drive should I run on my Highlander" debates
  • "What roof rack system is everyone using" questions
  • Field-tested compatibility info (often before our help center catches up)
  • Maintenance tips owners have figured out

What the group is NOT

  • Not a support queue. Don't post warranty issues, missing parts, or "my drive shipped damaged" here expecting a fix. The group has a lot of helpful owners but Cajo's Claims Team monitors the claims form, not Facebook DMs.
  • Not a place to flame other owners' setups. Different boats fish different water; respect the variety.

Video library

YouTube — @caminojourney.co

Long-form content. Setup walkthroughs, model comparisons, on-water reviews from creators we've sent boats to. Search "Cajo Outpost 128 review" or similar — there's a growing library of independent reviews plus official walkthroughs.

TikTok + Instagram Reels — @caminojourney.co

Short-form rigging tips, dock-talk, gear breakdowns. Faster cadence than YouTube; good for following along during launch and new-product cycles.

Facebook Reels — facebook.com/caminojourney.co

Same shorts content as TikTok/Instagram, surfaced in the Facebook ecosystem so it shows up to group members.

Existing on-water review compilations

For per-model walkthroughs, see Video reviews of Cajo models.

Want to be a creator / field team member Creator program

Field Team and creator program

Cajo's Field Team is the small group of pro-level anglers who get gear seeded for content creation, on-water testing, and tournament representation. We don't offer a flat "creator discount" — we evaluate program fit case by case.

Why the community model

Cajo is intentionally small. We're not trying to be Hobie or Old Town in catalog breadth — we're trying to build the right boats for serious kayak anglers and let those owners build the brand together. The Facebook group is where that happens.

"I wanted CAJO to be shaped by actual anglers, not boardrooms. That's why we built a think-tank of hundreds of kayakers and let their needs guide every decision." — Josh Thomas, Founder

If you've got a feature idea, a rigging hack, or a problem you've solved that other owners would benefit from, the group is the place to share it. We see those posts; sometimes they end up in the next product cycle.
